The Baltic Dry Index Hit A 15-month Low

On December 10, the Baltic Dry Bulk Freight Index fell 12 points or 1.03% to 1,156 points, the lowest level since September 2023. The capesize freight index fell 29 points to 1,503, also the lowest level since September 2023. The average daily profit of capesize vessels fell by $238 to $12,464. The Panamax freight index fell 2 points to 1077. The average daily profit of Panamax ships fell by $22 to $9,691. The Supramax bulk carrier freight index slipped 4 points to 967 points, the lowest level since August 2023.
